  • Gardiner Reedsport Winchester Bay Salmon Trout Enhancement Program (STEP) Security Enhancements
    A vandal poisoned thousands of young salmon at Oregon hatchery. Sgt. Levi Harris, a sergeant with the state patrol’s Fish and Wildlife division, said in a statement that “the killing of these fish is a real blow to the STEP program volunteers, ODFW, fishermen, and the community as a whole.” “In my 25 years as a game warden, this is one of the most senseless acts I have seen,” Harris added. We are fundraising to provide enhanced security, additional fencing, and security cameras to prevent something like this from happening again.
